The food, the enthusiasm, the pure joy in the making of pizza… What else is there? You walk in, and you feel like family. You eat, and you feel like heaven.
There are so many little things that are so, so right, but the big one is this: Amazing pizza.

Yelp needs a sub-category called "crap." The chicken fingers were so stringy and over-cooked that I could use them to floss out the under-cooked, soggy potato goo from the, um, well, non-fried-things. I think they were fried in the wrong buckets. The hostess was good and quick, which is incredibly important in an airport, but yech. I'm sure the bottled beer is safe, but who's buying Stella at airport prices? (My travel's on other peoples' tax money, so I don't…)
Many airports have *good* food outside the security perimeter. They recognize that people waiting or people who happen to arrive when hungry need to eat. BWI? Apparently not. This food is so bad, my phone's camera refused to save the photo.
Do not go. Graze at one of the "cafe" places instead.

While this hotel has a captive audience (you know who you are), it's still quite nice. The government rate rooms are really, really comfortable. There's a full bar. And it's convenient to "the destination."
That should give it four stars, right? Well, I made the mistake of eating at the restaurant. The *people* are great. The food… Well… I know they're doing the best they can with what they're given, but the food is pathetic. Sad. Depressing. Nauseating. With the ingredients and the directions I'm sure are dictated by Marriott Central, well, it can't be any better than what it is. But if a salad is over $15, it better not have only iceberg lettuce. And the Reuben isn't either a Reuben or particularly edible. Bad choice.
Again, the people working out in the open were wonderful. The choice of menu, recipes, and ingredients definitely rips a point off, as there is *nothing* within walking distance that doesn't require significant security clearance. And even then, I'm only guessing they have restaurants inside.

Half meh, half ok. It's Asian-ish fast food. I had higher hopes when I saw bottles of Sriracha on tables. But this is just another fast food joint, so the rating is set appropriately. You could do worse.
The vegetables are fresh. The meat is, well, processed. The rice is Western. I experienced a severe food coma after the "teriyaki" stir fry, although my taste buds wondered if I had actually eaten anything. The only thing I really tasted was a hint of curry in the spring roll.
And yes, I'm a picky, spoiled bastard. I actually was confused when the person bringing my food out didn't bring utensils. I don't eat fast food often. Take this review appropriately.

The food's what you expect in a typical airport. I didn't have any issues with it, but I wouldn't seek out this place. The waitress was great; she helped guide me to a better choice. I believe I had an ok chicken sandwich, but I can't quite remember. Their Copperhead ale is quite good.
We were there on a Wednesday for lunch. Service was quick and attentive; we had no issues squeezing in lunch before our flight.
The beer is freakin' large. Not normally an issue, but be sure to time bodily functions properly in case your plane is stuck on the runway for a while.

Sidewalk seating in Asheville on a Sunday afternoon, so obviously this is starting well. As other people mention, there are two restaurants here, and I'm speaking of the upstairs cafe. The linguine was bright and plentiful. Service was quick even on a Sunday. Prices were fine for the amount; I just wish there were a piece of bread for the excess sauce. Nice place to stop on my way through town.

This is the type of by-the-slice place I like. Good cheese pizza to be folded and munched, relaxed atmosphere, and a neighborhood feel. The sauce had plenty of flavor, the cheese was well cooked, and the crust was thin but strong enough to hold together. I just wish this pizza were walking distance from me…

Ok, it's Fry's. If you need something *now*, they're a good shot. Just remember that when something's surprisingly cheap, well, it's cheap.
On the plus side, this particular Fry's has a surprisingly good staff. They didn't pretend to know everything. Customer service is efficient when things don't work out. I didn't feel ignored or hassled.
So this is really more a 3.5-4 review, but, well, it's Fry's. You have to rag on Fry's. That's just how it is.
