I make no commitment against falling into trite clichés or struggling against my preference for quips. My first day's NaPoWriMo attempt:

Laying by the surf, looking at the sky. Lark of a day.
Wool gathering through a work day wanting to fly away,
Breeze tugging the shell nestled against the sand and the spray,
Inside the wolf that howls at our vile lives, "gouge away."
